"Guilty...Guilty...Guilty..."read the headlines. Convicted by a jury not of his peers, Scooter Libby faces thirty long years in prison for what? Does anybody know why? If you listen to the main stream media then you'll hear that he "outed" a covert CIA agent. Yet, this jury was NOT allowed to know that Valerie Plame, the CIA agent in question, was not undercover or covert. So, if she was not "undercover" or "covert" was she "outed"? If she was not "outed", then where's the crime? Perhaps the crime lies within convicting an innocent man of a crime he did not convict. It is just a thought, but it seems like the "noise" surrounding Mr. Libby did him in with the jurors. The jurors could not get past the fact that Libby was associated with Cheney who is associated with Bush who is an "evildoer Republican who wants to occupy all foreign lands." The jurors most likely could not hear anything beyond that and as a result, Libby is "Guilty, Guilty, Guilty" by association.

2008 Election Excitement....Already?!!

Is it me or has the 2008 presidential election coverage started already? It seems everywhere you turn, print, television and Internet, the horse race armchair jockeys are in mid-season form. Could it be that as a nation we want throw up our hands, cover our eyes and close our ears as if we were young children who are tired of the droning messages coming from our current leaders? "Bueller?....Bueller?"

What does that say about us as an electorate? More importantly, what does that say about the individual we hope to elect in 2008 and the impossible job we will ask that person to complete? Hey clean up this mess that the other guy created...Oh yeah, while you are at it, figure out what else went wrong in the two years we have spent blaming that other guy and listening to you "talk" about resolutions.
